Andrew Sharp is a British photographer living in Western Canada. He was diagnosed with diabates in April of 2007. He has photographed weddings in three different countries, family portraits, and landscape and wildlife images. His goal is to establish a YouTube Channel to encourage fellow Diabetics to not let diabetes get in the way of pursuing their passions. Andrew wants to share photography tips as well as his diabetes experiences.
Jenna Cantamessa is from sunny Queensland, Australia. Diagnosed at 19 years old with Type 1 Diabetes, she is the personality behind the Instagram page ‘Typeonevibes’. Jenna studied a Bachelor of Business and works in Marketing at her local University. She has a quirky and artistic way of connecting with and advocating for the diabetes community. Advocacy through art is what she’s passionate about, and she’s excited to be a part of the 2022 judging panel.
Dianne is a Native Floridian and worked in Real Estate for almost 30 years in South Florida. About five years ago she moved to Lake Martin, Alabama for a more relaxed and quiet lifestyle. She has been a Type 1 Diabetic for almost 32 years. After trying all other types of CGMs, she considers herself very fortunate to have been the very first Eversense patient in the US in July 2018 and she feels the product has changed her life!
Tinotenda (Tino) Dzikiti, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in December 2010 and currently lives in Zimbabwe. Since his diagnosis, he has become an international diabetes advocate, spreading awareness and encouragement through media campaigns, radio, television, printed articles and podcasts. Adam is an illustrator based in Warsaw, Poland. He creates all kinds of artwork, but mostly cooperates with several publishing houses both home and abroad, making book and editorial illustration. His work consist of mix between traditional and digital art, with elements of collage. Besides editorial work he enjoys creating fashion illustrations, painting and an ocasional mural.
Gina Anzures, also called Gina Pillina, is a Mexican illustrator and comic artist who loves to tell entertaining and funny stories through charming characters and colourful palettes. Gina draws comic strips as well, in which she informs in a humorous way about Type 1 diabetes with her cute character Gina Pillina. Gina is currently doing her MFA in Illustration at SCAD, Atlanta. She did her bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Universidad Anáhuac Puebla and completed a master’s degree in 3D animation at Coco School, Spain. Her work has been awarded by the famous Mexican contest a! Diseño. She was also one of the shortlisted winners of This is Diabates Photo and Art Competition in 2021.
Katia Montel is an Italian editorial and advertising illustrator fascinated by small things and nature: in theme she found the shapes to give life to my illustrations. Katia creates colourful and happy illustrations for magazines and businesses that want to stand out. She studied graphic design during high school at Artigianelli in Trento, Italy and afterwards Katia studied illustration & comics at IDP in Verona, Italy. Her dream is to work as a freelance illustrator in the editorial and advertising field, helping people and businesses to spread messages of hope and love to create a better world to live in.
